Don't know if anyone's done this before, but I wanted to recreate the Fontstruct logo as an actual working typeface! Hope all of you enjoy it, I might add all of the grammatical characters soon too.

Pixxy 60-minutes-design – an hour of fun with Fontstruct as preparation for my lessons!

A simple rounded font.

I went for more of a simple look with a slash through the characters to give it an edgy, modern feel. I also went for sharp but curved characters to give contrast amongst them.

This ornate typeface was designed with the intention to give every part of a letterform some curve. The end result was a typeface that mirrored the rounded shape of old-fashioned wood spindles like one might find on an antique dinning chair or an elaborate staircase in an ancestry home. Spindles like these were handcrafted and born from the finest lumber a proud wood worker could find. This same type of pride went into the crafting of Simple Spindle.
