A work in progress. It's made for a Terraria mod and named thusly because parts of it remind me of halberd, partisan, and/or axe heads. I designed this to have the vaguely authoritation look of a Didone as well as a borderline-gaudy look that prevents this from being taken as seriously as other Didones. These changes lent some much-needed character to the prototypical Didone from which this design evolved. The uppercase are more heavily ornamented, as if to suggest that they were letters from an illuminated manuscript. The result is something that looks fancy and slightly mad, like something made by an old wizard with delusions of grandeur.
Rather than intentionally alter the ratios of different glyphs, I ornamented them in different ways. All the ratios are set by the letter width of 3 + whatever serifs may by present.
The wider letters are incised, which seems to lessen their perceived wideness by breaking up the shapes. For me this effect lent a more natural flow to the reading.
A more natural flow is also gained through the use of unconventional ascender/descender on glyphs like M and W as well as an ornamentation system designed to place differing amounts of visual emphasis on each of the vowels.
The spiky parts of glyphs help to unify the rectangular serifs with the curving shapes of the counters and halberd-like pieces.
I made the thickest font I could. Then slathered the damn thing in butter and deep-fried it.
I was given feedback that the capitals were too wide in the original Kimura. Rather than replacing them in the font, I've made a new version nice and quickly so you can decide for yourself. Or have both, even. I would like that.This is a clone of Kimura
My take on those classic serif style stencil designs.
Initially I started this design as a all caps display style, the desicion for a lowercase came once the uppercase already had been completed, and I truly had a hard time making a good looking lowercase for this one.
Also it felt like kerning this style was much harder to see and get right than most other fonts I made.
There still remains a number of things I had rather seen different, like those numerals, but this is the best I could do for now, I hope you like it!
A variant of Tangereen 3. Hard to read, but has a certain ornamental appeal.
Lately, I've been busy learning 3D modeling, vector art, and digital art things. So I only envision myself making more FontStructions when I need them for an existing project. I've already done all the designs based on my own past work - or at least, all the ones that are possible to create here.This is a clone of Tangereen 3
Inspired by Metal Gear Rising: Revengence title font.
This font is made to be compatible only with triangular pixel LCDs.
Ahh sadly due to repeatedly running into a corrupted font when I save newly made changes to it, it eventually catching up with me and tested the limit of my patience.
I have had to painstakingly restore the font 5 times already since I started it.
So I stopped including new characters as well as making new changes to its existing character set. (At least for now)
Too bad because I wouldve loved to see this truly getting finalized.
So at this stage there are still a number of characters that remain in rough condition, and had yet to be further optimized.
The main A-Z alphabet luckily already was close to how I invisioned it, but especially the numerals, symbols and accents still have some rough edges.
Now, forgetting all that, I still think it is not a bad font at all. Everything is there for most common Western-European languages, somewhat still making this a usable font that I shouldn't be keeping in private!
I hope that despite my bad luck this time, y'all still like it.
About this Font:
The idea was to make a classic Didone style display serif that is meant for making clean headline text similar to those often seen in older magazines or newspapers. I set out trying to design a semi-bold & slight expanded looking letterform with thin hairline serifs and strokes. I choose a large grid scale for the extra freedom in custom shaping this provides.
Technique I used in this design:
This font in particular I have experimented with working within a "(asymmetrical-) Grid Scale ratio" ( 1,5:1 ), so, changing only the value for the Horizontal grid scale. (This distorts the grid aspect ratio, and is a great way to discover and experiment with getting new forms and shapes).
The 1,5 : 1 ratio was specifically choosen to keep maths simple, in order to rebuild certain required bricks that build specific slope angles , such as a 45° (which is no longer possible to make from the FS default brick set when using asymmetric scale ratios, unless making composites).
But what this also does is opening up a totally new approach to making shapes, and..becoming quite a surprisingly easy shortcut to get unusual shapes or make variations on these, even with as little as just the rotation of the bricks/selection. (thanks to the distorted aspect ratio) :-).
This is a must try for those who are into large grid designs, fake curves or interrested in experimenting around a little.
I really liked my last slab serif font, and so I decided to make another one. This time, we've put the file on it and rounded the corners.
Re-creation of Technik®, a one-weight typeface originally designed by German design studio Bionic Systems™ in 2001. This re-creation contains 2 weight : Technik® Display,best for titles, and Technik® Text, best for small text.
Another textualis style calligraphic blackletter / gothic script typeface.
Besides the Basic Latin character set this has a lot of special use characters and alternatives too, such as:
Ligatures, Superscript, lining (default) & oldstyled numeral forms (located in halfwidth), traditional medieval punctuation marks (located in private use). And there is even a complete, but slightly modified & smaller version of the alphabet located in the Halfwidth unicode block as well.

I finally made a folded-/ribbon-style design. This one contains a number of experimental techniques. Most notably, the swept parts of glyphs are allowed to extend beyond the letterwidths and sometimes even the baselines. This enhances the sense of movement, creates some interesting linkages, and reduces the need for kerning.
All of these shapes can be constructed with paper or ribbon, although lots of clever folding tricks, doubling, and pinning down/securing with glue would be required.
Alternate tilde on "±".
Chamadarya is an Integral Artifice (synthetic universe) I created for the ESOSVM simulation in 2013. It's a place dominated by vast stretches of open sky punctuated by extremely tall mesas and plateaus. Most of the buildings and temples there are made from chrysoberyl, which is extensively engraved, often with a lettering style that looks much like this. Of course, that language is non-Latin so it looks nothing like this design.
The center portions of these glyphs make me think of sliced oranges and moon phases. They could act as cabochon settings, as well! So you could use these shapes to make jewelry set with a birthstone, monogrammed pendants/insignia, and so on.
I've moved from Russia to Germany, here. We have a classic, 70s inspired design, which could still be a futuristic-looking one in the right lights.
