A insular half-uncial or insular majuscule script style typeface project that is inspired by ancient celtic bookhand & manuscripts.
The project is aiming at solidifying a number of different insular script styles. The main goal is to create a single typeface that includes about everything required to replicate the decorative writing style seen in ancient celtic manuscripts.(except for the ornamental decoratives)
The font, though essentially a bi-linear or majuscule insular half-incial script, in reality is a combination of different styles and complementary lettersets. Each carefully designed for specific purpose.
For example, it includes a more decorative Anglo-Saxon-script capital letter, perfect for headline text or book bindings. These actually include a small number of short ascendin / descending letters, but it remains mainly a majuscule. Then there is a complete insular style lowercase set, but which resembles a more traditional style lowercase letterform. And instead of being proportional sized, these reflect the cap-height, remaining faithful to the bi-linear nature of the script.
Besides all that, there is a set of glyph-alternates for most of the Anglo-Saxon capitals, as well as numerous random stylistic glyph alternates scattered througout some other various unicode blocks. Providing more than enough options to make variations.
To top it all off, I started making a set of more decorative lombardic initial letters, perfect for decorating paragraphs.
(This remains a WIP for now, as I am still experimenting aound with different styles and bits to narrow down the right one that suits this total package)
I like how some of these characters turned out, but many are jiust ideas and not yet reached their definitive forms. But this set proved a lot more difficult than I had anticipated. So,

The major recources and guidelines for the creation of this project mainly evolved around the two medieval celtic manuscripts:
"Book of kells" and "Liɴdisfarne Gospels"
It has grown quite a bit already so far, but remains a WIP.
So beware of very little overall polishing or kerning.
The overall design has quite some rough character, even more so with the insular lowercase set, that obviously was not aimed at smooth edges. Actually the oposite, sort of trying to replicate that rough look seen with many scribes from that era.
But I would love to hear your opinions (or suggestions for that matter) on the work so far. I can really use a little refreshing vibes for this at this point.

Mathla ['maθla] is a Germanic language that is mainly spoken in the dimension of the gods. But also all magic creatures and magicians make use of this tongue and call it their own, for it contains magic powers.
It is counted among the inflected languages, i.e. it uses four cases for nouns and pronouns (nominative, genetive, accusative, dative), two genders (common, neuter), and two numbers (singular, plural).
Mathlas has got 21 monophtongs (i, I, y, Y, u, U, e, E, é, o, O, æ, Æ, c, C, a, A, ä, Ä, å, Å), 5 diphtongs (P, R, Q, V, B) and 22 consonants (p, b, t, d, k, g, q, m, N, ng, f, v, T, D, s, S, x, h, w, r, l, j).
There only exist a few punctuation marks: . ( ) + - : < = >

A semi connected script style font design. It is losely based in the lettering seen on a poster design by German designer/painter Ottomar Carl Joseph Anton. (image shown in comments)
I completed the full alphabet, I tried to incorporate the features from the provided letters the best I could while creating the remaining missing characters.
It is a semi connected script style lettering, so certain characters are deliboratly disconnect and some aren't. For example the Uppercase string is almost completelty disconnected, whereas most of the lowercase characters connect. This can also be seen in the original Ottomar poster.
For the lowercase characters that connect there has been made a alternative glyph that is disconnected and adjusted to make a more pleasing flow and better looking breaks. These are located in the Unicode Block “Halfwidth and Fullwidth Forms”.
It contains both proportional oldstyle (default) & lining numerals, which are located in the Unicode Block “Halfwidth and Fullwidth Forms” as well.

This font is a simple handwriting font, based off of Greg's handwriting in Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Feel free to use it however you like.
This is a font I made that's inspired by the minuscule form of the insular script used by the Anglo-Saxons in Medieval England. It includes the special medieval characters "æ" (ash), "þ" (thorn), "ð" (Eth) and "ƿ" (Wynn) as the letter "w". Happy typing! :D
Folder strips of paper style blackletter attempt. I wish I had better solutions for some charaters, but I had some tough struggles getting good looking glyphs for this style, for example uppercase T took me like 60 attemps and none ever really pleased. So I ended up with choosing the best of them en just went on with the rest. BUT, Zephram came to the rescue and delivered me a propper T, Arrrrr thanks matey!!!

Haven't done anything like this in a long while. This is a form of pseudocursive script, and it's termed this because many forms deviate from the cursive standards. I had to find my own solutions to account for different types of loops and to add details.
You dipped a spoon into the [masterwork Azwelke alphabet soup] and retrieved... this!
Torcan is inspired by the Georgian Nuskhuri alphabet, but upside down. It is written latinically, rather than phonetically. Double letters can be achieved by adding a dot above or under the letter. Numerals are made with corrosponding letter with dots above and under it. A semicolon is used as a question mark, while the exclamation mark is an upside-down version of it. Torcan comes from an Irish word meaning "porcupine".
Work in Progress
The font combines a bit of two styles, which are 70's streamline art-deco style letters for the uppercase range and a more handwritten script inspired sans-serif lowercase letters that are somewhat looking like a comic book script too.
Besides still trying to get a more complete character set I'm also still experimenting with it so expect things to change most certainly future on.
Kerning is done only to a limited number of pairs.

WIP! - A new experiment into handwriting fonts.
I was inspired to do a handwriting script font of my own after I saw the recently submitted couple here at fontstruct by ecluniverso. This member's work is very good and unique, check it out here: https://fontstruct.com/fontstructors/1376510/ecluniverso
The design concept for my font is handwriting with a broad-tip permanent marker.
I completed the LC string and numerals, plus some punctuations so far. UC (hopefully) coming soon.
Stern from GEOS FontPack PLUS on the Commodore 64. Script font with joins. I haven't done more than basic kerning on this so it may be a bit "rough" in places. Still, it's the full basic ASCII set, and it's easier to read than Mistral.
Corded modernist minimalism script typeface design.
It is trying to mimmic letters written with a bend metal wire or a chord.
It is only in lowercase letters at the moment no numerals and only very limited punctuations. But It is still very fun to play around with.
And my apologies for putting a sting of glyphs with only a line showing in the numeral block but I did this to make the pangram for the font show up in when viewed from the gallery

For dozenal counting system, " ' " serves as "0", "0" is "10", "-" is "11", "_" is "-", ":" is division, "*" is multiplication, ";" is for roots (as the opposite of powers, "^")
A project I've been working on for some time that combines a readable writing system with a means of creating decorative streams of symbols, allowing for practical or artistic use. It is designed to be writable in the same way as English, with a couple key differences:

Use as applicable to avoid numbers and letters bleeding into each other.
For purely artistic streams of writing, Start every sentence with a capital, skip spaces, and use '-' as a period. This allows for a smooth bar of symbols without any random bits jutting out that can be used for framing or backgrounds.
