Something "fun". Inspired by the many journeys I've made and by train travels. And by my grandchildren's train toys. The angular design echoes small table tops we sometimes use to put the tracks on ...

UC is normal weight and is used in the sampler (font name). LC has some thicker lines for increased legibility although this font is only meant to illustrate concepts (travel, finding new ways, diversification etc) or for logos, shop signs, invitations and similar. Not simple enough for use in anything long or complex that has to be easily read.

nice!

Comment by jirinvk 20th January 2019

@ ecluniverso and @ jirinvk: thank you! Glad you like the look of this design. In a few days I'll add a few very basic punctuation marks, and if numbers are useful for this design I'll add 0 to 9.

A could be nudged a little bit closer to the left line. Or maybe it was ment this way, nice design!

@ Yautia: thank you  :) @FTrex: You're right to mention "A" had a problem> I hadn't changed the original shape to show rails on the left *sigh* Thanks for pointing it out ! :) Shame I can't exchange the sampler for an updated one :(

Very interesting with a unique feel. I like how outline rounded and its opposite filled squared are combined together in harmony. Well done, as always!

I want to separate them and make 2 fonts.  LOL

Nice experiment.

@architaraz: thank you @SD: yes, lol. I did think of the UC style applied to 'real' LC. Maybe one  day. I tried a positive-negative version but the lines' thicknesses for 45° don't match those of the horizontals/verticals :/

Numbers are done. Also a handful of useful ;) other glyphs

Comment by Aeolien 28th January 2019

I love this, and, I'm with DP—these would work very well as separate fonts. :)
